AnathemA
A downloadable game for Windows
Cursed by her dying breath.
Unrepentant.
Forsaken.
The forest hates.
AnathemA is a top down roguelite action game made for Ludum Dare 54 on the Godot engine. It came #2 in Mood and #48 Overall!!
Controls:
WASD - Movement
Right Click - Aim
Left Click - Fire
R - Reload
v1.01 is a post-jam patch with minor changes:
-Improved attribution for music
-Removed a developer cheat code
-Fixed a major perk shop issue.
1.01 is faithful to the original submission with some gamebreaking bugs fixed.
v1.02 has some changes based on early feedback:
-Rifle + shotgun reload faster
-Default volume lowered
-Buffed flechette damage
-Trees grow faster
-Gamma slider on launch
-Fixed a bug where too many enemies spawned on wave 7
-Tweaked AI behaviour
1.02 has no new features but is rebalanced for a better experience. If you prefer the raw jam entry, 1.01 has no balance tweaks.
RC5 is the original jam release, I don't recommend playing it due to the perk shop bug.

It's annoying that the character keeps getting stuck in the logs, trapped and dead. The game is too unfair. The space is too narrow, and there's no way to avoid the enemy approaching. I played over ten times but always dead under wave 5. The game didn't make me feel challenged, and I kept feeling that the entire game was too unfair. The stiff control makes it worse. At least get rid of those annoying trees(or logs, whatever) or make them more visible so that players can avoid them more easily. My character always getting stuck while avoiding enemy attacks it's super annoying.
You need to fix the reload glitch. My character quite often ignores it and keeps killing me, which is very annoying.
